With former Victoria's Secret Angel Heidi Klum on the cover of this month's issue—and to pay tribute to the annual Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show airing December 5—we take a look back at 10 former Ocean Drive cover stars who also graced the famed catwalk.
Heidi Klum, December 2016: After 13 years as Victoria’s Secret head angel, Klum hung up her wings in 2010—but that hasn't stopped the supermodel and mother of four from being one of the most popular Angels to grace the runways, thanks to her daring endeavors and down-to-earth personality.
Shanina Shaik, February 2016: The model's debuted at the Victoria’s Secret fashion show back in 2011, when she became the sixth Australian Angel. By the time she became an Ocean Drive cover star last February, the 25-year-old Aussie beauty was fresh off her fourth walk down the famed runway.
Martha Hunt, July/August 2015: Two months before Martha Hunt graced our July cover last year, the bombshell was pronounced an official Victoria’s Secret Angel. Now Hunt will be walking in her fourth show, and donning her wings proudly.
Alessandra Ambrosio, February 2015: The Brazilian bombshell (and Miami resident) has been wearing her wings since 2004, and walked in 15 shows, which included modeling the million-dollar Fantasy Bra not once, but twice. And as our February 2015 cover star, the supermodel, mother, and clothing and swimwear designer told us she has no plans of slowing down anytime soon.
Erin Heatherton, July/August 2014: Erin Heatherton came on to be our Swim Issue cover star in 2014, just after she left her five-year role as a Victoria's Secret Angel. After being scouted on the sandy beaches here in the Magic City, the model went on to land the cover of Vogue Paris and the title of Leonardo DiCaprio's girlfriend.
Elsa Hosk, March 2013: The Swedish model revealed that before her breakthrough as a Victoria’s Secret model, she was a professional basketball player. Her love of sports taught her to maintain a healthy lifestyle, which ultimately helped her gain her role as an official Victoria’s Secret Angel, landing the spot in her sixth Victoria’s Secret fashion show.
Lindsay Ellingson, December 2012: A year after Lindsay Ellingson became an Angel, she was our December 2012 cover. After eight Victoria’s Secret runway shows—and three as an Angel—not to mention the countless catwalks she graced in Paris and London, Ellingson retired.
Lily Aldridge, May/June 2011: Our July 2011 cover star has been an Angel for more than half a decade—and now, Lily Aldrige is gearing up to walk her eighth Victoria’s Secret show this year. Don't forget that last year, the mom, designer, and philanthropist was chosen to model the famous Fantasy Bra down the glittering runway.
Marisa Miller, December 2011: The model-turned-actress got her VS start by modeling the $3 million Fantasy Bra in the Victoria's Secret 2009 fashion show. Two years and the title of "Sexiest Woman In The World" later, Miller rocked our December 2011 cover.
Candice Swanepoel, November 2009: The beloved supermodel had just walked the Victoria’s Secret show at Fontainebleau Miami Beach, when she became our November cover stary in 2009. Though we won't find her on the runway this year, you can be sure she'll be watching on proudly with her newborn son.
